3rd Eye-Planets, Unreleased, 1998

Formerly known as Jesse West, 3rd Eye aka Bald-Headed Black Muthafucka aka Dirty Apple Slim of group 24/7 has been holdin it down in the BX since the late 80's. In 1989, his debut album "No Prisoners" was the FIRST EVER Hip-Hop album released on Motown Records. Another noteable fact is that as a producer he assisted in the recording of Biggie’s first real demo, and was a member of the original Hitmen collective (the Bad Boy production team). Today I bring you the album Planets, which to my knowledge was recorded in 1998 and remains unreleased. His latest project “Beans’N’Apples” is due for a late spring/early summer release on G.L.O.K. Records. Beans’N’Apples is an album produced entirely by Jesse West aka Dirty Traxx frum da Projects. The group consists of emcees from New York, and Boston.

Natural Elements-Unreleased LP (Tommy Boy, 199x)
Before materializing as an official group, the Natural Elements were originally conceived as a group of solo artists brought together in 1993 under the tutelage of producer Charlemagne. This initial grouping, whose members were initially signed to Fortress Records, included members Mr. Voodoo, L-Swift, KA, G-Blass, Howie Smalls and the InTimidator. By 1995, however, membership slimmed to include only Mr. Voodoo, L-Swift and the newly-added A-Butta. The trio's countless appearances on the NYC freestyle and mixtape circuits culminated with a record deal on the Tommy Boy Black sublabel and the release of the single "2 Tons" in 1999. Although the highly-anticipated NE album was completed, problems with Tommy Boy shelved the project and the album never saw the light of day... until NOW!

Yes this is official. I was told there is only about 20 somethin press copies out there in the world today. I beleive all 3 emcee's are still in the game recording as solo artists so be sure to support them if you like what you hear. My Opinion... 6.5/10. Not one single track comes close in comparison to their previously released independant records circulating in the underground. Don't get me wrong, 6.5 aint bad and I am sure their die hard fans will overall be pleased with the album in whole, but they possess a chemistry that seperates them from the average rappers and are in my opinion capable of so much more.

The Omen (Demo, 2001)
Sadat X, Diamond D, and Camari come together as The Omen. I got my hands on this album advance back in 2001 along with a Sadat X album advance. 6 years later, neither albums have hit the shelves therefor I share with you The Omen... Maybe in near future I will also leak the Sadat album. To my knowledge The Omen had signed to Up Above and released "It's our World b/w Half Steppin". While searching online I came across another 12inch "Do it Now b/w Get on Up". Aside from these two 12inch releases I think it's fair to say that they have yet to release any other material.

DBD (Death Before Dishonor) DEMO ALBUM
Correct me if i'm wrong when I say the DBD click consists of: Rob Jackson, PMD, Agallah, Don Fu-Quan, J-Boogie, and 275. I know DJ Honda also played a role in the supergroup. This demo was leaked to me on the down low back in 2002, which I then shared with a couple of close and trustworthy friends. Seeing the year is now 2007, I think it's safe to say I shouldn't catch any heat for leaking the album online. Audio quality could be better... much better, but I figure these recordings are taken from unmastered DAT tapes making the album a must have item... to somebody like me.

DBD (Demo,2002)

I realise that even though these albums never seen the light of day, both were probably recorded in early 2000-2001 and I stated I will be dedicating this site to Hip-Hop music released in the 90's but c'mon... whose gonna complain? :p

Da Fat Cat Clique - Da Cats Out Da Bag (DFCC, 1996)

Rare 1996 release by Illadelph's own Da Fat Cat Clique. "Da Flow" features EST, The Man They Call Lux, Ital the Ruffian, Lavee & Ruggedness Madd Drama. Having only this mp3 version of the album I dont have much more information relating to this release, nor do I have the albums cover art. Nevertheless this is a must have for those that appreciate 90's independant Hip-Hop. Also, if you enjoy what you hear I believe Alkuttraz still has a copy of their 97 12inch release WATCHITSUCKA for sale @ www.alkuttraz.blogspot.com

Masta Ace-Turn it Up b/w Remix & Top 10 List (Delicious Vinyl, 1996)

This record is a personal favorite. I think the reason may be is that Saukrates handles the production on "Top 10 List". What's so great about Saukrates? Well, he's Canadian like myself and it only goes to prove to ignorant Americans that somehow someway our igloos have electric outlets allowing us to hook up the needed equipment to produce music. Jokes aside not only do I love the track because the producer lives 4 hours away from me, but he does a great job lacing the track. It's too bad the record doesn't include the instrumental."Turn it Up" features Leschea of the I.N.C. "Turn it Up Remix" features Leschea and Paula Perry.
When purchasing this record the following info should help you from falling victim to coppin a bootleg:The Runout groove on the original has SPRO-MA3-1-A-11201 on Side A & SPRO-MA3-1-B-11201 on Side B whereas the bootleg has Just SPRO-11201 etched on one side.
The Labels Also look badly printed on the bootleg aswell

Mike Zoot-Scene/The Unfrontin'Funk Su'in/Turn Pt. II/Live + Stink/Bassickly/Massive/High Drama Pt. 3... The Search for 2 (Guesswhyld, 1997)

Todays update features Guesswhyld heavyweight Mike Zoot. The featured vinyl is a 2 x 12inch and is to my knowledge quite rare. Production is handled by a variety of underground favorites: DJ Spinna, Baby Paul, ShaSelf, Buckwild, Showbiz & Shawn J Period. Vocal features include Royal Flush on "Turn Pt.2", and Star Orion on "High Drama Pt.3 (The Search for 2)". Record doesnt specify a release year but I am leaning towards 1997. It's a shame that Zoot has yet to release an LP in America. For those that didn't know Mike Zoot released a cd a couple years back but problem is that is was only available in Japan therefor it wasnt recognized internationally. So there you go... Download, Enjoy, and remember to Support the Artist.

On another note... Anyone know what the white boy out tha crew Matt Fingaz been up to?

I realise not many people actually know of my blog site and im sure not many people care for it. This site has become a hobby for myself and will be updated regularly. By all means I am not trying to sour any artists albums sales by providing music for download, my focus is to share with you rare, and heavily slept on independant/mainstream Hip-Hop music that came and went without receiving the proper shine it deserved. Remember, support the artist if you like what you hear.

Also, I have updated my links which now include my close friend DJ Ducats Peaceful Journey Podomatic site. This site features direct download links of previous recordings of his College Radio "Peaceful Journey" Hip-Hop Show which airs every Friday night 8pm-10pm @ www.ckcufm.com .

Feedback, requests, and ideas can be sent to complecks@hotmail.com

EZD Ft. OC-Lyrical Extortion (Priority, 199x)
I am guessing that this single right here is a rare piece of phonographic material indeed. Clearly an EZD release (he is featured on both sides) the only label on the record is a Priority stamp. No artists, no producers, and no track names included. Side A features EZD and OC and Side B features EZD, Noreaga, and I am thinking Rezervoir Doggs... could be wrong. Nevertheless both tracks are ill and worth checking.

Street Smartz-Dont Trust Anyone Video
Enjoy this video, which was the lead single for Tru Criminal Record's self titled EP released in the late 90's. This track is in my opinion Fuc That at his best. For those that don't know who Street Smartz is, the group consists of "F.T. (Fuc That), Matt Fingaz (CEO of Guesswhyld Ent.), and DJ Buda". Tru Criminal Records dominated the underground market in the late 90's releasing material by AK Skills, Street Smartz, and God Sunz.

Dres-Sure Shot Redemption (Black Pearl, 1997)
Today'supdate is a must have for all you Black Sheep fans out there in the world today. Released in 1997 on Black Pearl Records, this is a rare 18 track album advance of his solo debut "Sureshot Redemption", which was later released in 1999 on Ground Control Records. Difference between the two releases is that this version contains 18 tracks ,9 of which are absent from his 1999 release (which only contains 15 tracks total). Keep your eyes open for the new Black Sheep album which I believe to be available for purchase on their MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/blacksheep
